TEN RELEASES IN to the rapidly growing pile of inHabit releases (not counting instalments in our "Momentum" or “Texture” series) and yet, as I type this from behind my gigantic mahogany desk here at inHabit HQ all I can think of is that I hope the weather is nicer wherever you all are than it is here. Fortunately our next release however comes in the form of two absolute hurters from up-and-coming bass scientist Nuskope who, hailing from Greece as he does, at the very least is (probably) not getting absolutely rained out of it like we are here. Does that mean he’s written us two twinkly sunshiny starry-eyed rooftop cocktail bar party tunes though? Does it fuck, these are crunchy grinding weapons for dark basements with more fuck-you attitude than a squat punk band playing on the back of a truck in the middle of a riot on Syntagma Square.

“Vigor” is, as the name would lead you to expect, a raucous slice of pure confrontational in-your-face energy, with a choppy funk break getting cut and switched to bits and struggling to contain a titanic slab of bass, as squalls of feedback fade into darkness.

“Trail Blazer” is a sharp, zippy stepper that arrives in a flurry of soaring strings, bleeps and classic samples, and wastes absolutely time dropping into a tearing funk workout with more deft touches and clever trickery than an EP’s worth of tunes from plenty of bigger names than Nuskope, so keep a very close eye on this guy from now on. Both tunes have been tweaked and polished by Height Mastering too so you know these are going to slap on whatever system you play them.

Big up everyone who’s supported the label so far on this journey with us, ten releases and counting is nothing to be sniffed at and we still feel we’re barely getting underway, so here’s hoping you stick around
for whatever the next arbitrary numerical milestone we feel sufficiently strong enough about to warrant mentioning it in a hype-sheet. Finally, maximum respect to Nuskope for being part of our story now. One love!
